Cave Praise

Psa 57:7 NET
(7) I am determined, O God! I am determined!
I will sing and praise you!

The opening of this psalm says it was a prayer of David when he was being chased by Saul and was in a cave. Think of that. The man who was his best friend's father was out trying to kill him and he is hiding in a cave. I think that would probably have me questioning if God was around or even real. I had been to the top and now I was at rock bottom.

But here is David, at the lowest point in his life and what does he do?

He tells himself, he is determined to praise God.

No wonder it was said if him that he was a man after God's own heart. We would do good to copy his actions.
