Who or what do you worship?

Is there something in your life that is higher than God? It could be a sin that you just cannot seem to break. Maybe it is mate or a child that you need to live your life through. I cannot say what it is, but I can tell you it is an age old problem.
Ezekiel 24:21 MKJV
(21) Speak to the house of Israel. So says the Lord Jehovah: behold, I will defile My sanctuary, the glory of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities. And your sons and your daughters whom you have left shall fall by the sword.
Judah had prided itself on having the temple of God. But they forgot one thing. The temple was the place to worship God not the place to worship. They were worshiping the creation and not the created.
God has brought people and things into your life. Do you worship them? Do they have a hold of you and you have to live through them? If so, stop worshiping the creation and start worshiping the creator.
