Living in the Blood

Blood is important. Without blood no human could survive. But blood serves another purpose as well. Since it is blood that gives life, God said that there would be no shedding of Innocent blood. And when we sin, there is only one thing that can cleanse us. That is the blood. In the Old Testament, it was the blood of animals that made them clean. In the new testament we have the Blood of Jesus to clean us.

(6) And when I passed by you and saw you squirming in your blood, I said to you in your blood, Live! Yes, I said to you in your blood, Live!

God in His story about Israel talks about finding her in her own blood, squirming in it. Is that a picture of you or me. We want to try to take our blood and solve the problems in our marriage and family, or on our jobs. In trying to fix them we make mistakes. And it is OK to ask for forgiveness, just do not live there, or make someone else live there. You see, our blood can not even fix one problem here on earth. Jesus' blood however, never fails,
