A sign of salvation

Zechariah 8:16 ESV
(16) These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace;


God no is changing the view of himself as we move through the old testament. He shows us that we are not to follow all the little small rules but the one big one that Jesus will come and say later. It does not really matter in the eyes of God what you eat or wear (though they are important). What you need to do is be good to others. While this alone does not bring about salvation, it is a sign that you have Jesus walking in you.
