Building Up

December 21, 2008

Hebrews 3:1-4 AKJV
1 Why, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has built the house has more honor than the house.
4 For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God.

We can be no better than that which we are patterned from. And we can get no more glory than what made us.

The writer of Hebrews tries to tell us this. The house is not the one that gets the glory when it is built. It is the one that builds it that does. Likewise, we can not receive more glory that the one who builds us up. God is the on that ha made us all and He deserves all the glory.
