What do you want?

June 23, 2007

To often we want to be popular, to be rich, to be noticed by people. God does not want that you know. God wants us to seek after people and how to help them. When Solomon offered his sacrifices to God, God asked him what he wanted in return. The answer was really simple.

1Ki 3:9 KJV
(9) Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

Solomon knew that he was not ready for the job. He could have asked for a lot of things, but he asked for what he would need to lead the people. Because of that, God gave him more than he asked for.

What do you need in life? Is it what would be needed to help the people around you.
