1Jn 1:6-7 KJV
(6) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
(7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

We cannot walk in God and His light and also walk in sin. It is just not possible. That is not to say that we will not sin, to say that will be a lie. We all will sin, what is being talked about here is when we sin continually doing the same thing over and over again. We can not do this. Over and over the same sin is done and over and over we say 'I am sorry' to God. This is the darkness that we are talking about. We cannot walk this way and be with God.

Only when we give up those sins, most of them of a secret nature, then we can walk in the light that is God and we can receive the blessings of God.

So do you have a secret sin to confess and stop doing? God is waiting for you if you are.
