Talk to God

January 31, 2008

Exodus 5:22-23 NET
(22) Moses returned to the LORD, and said, "Lord, why have you caused trouble for this people? Why did you ever send me?
(23) From the time I went to speak to Pharaoh in your name, he has caused trouble for this people, and you have certainly not rescued them!"

Just as God had said, Moses was going to ask to set his people free, Pharaoh would deny it. There was one other unfortunate thing though. Pharaoh made things worse for the people. And Moses got upset about it. He talked to God about it. The words in Exodus 5:22-23 are not some high flowing words about how great and mysterious God is and how He acts in unknown ways. No, it was a get in your face type pf prayer.

That is how God wants us to talk to him. Talk to him like he is your best friend sitting there beside you. Tell Him your hopes and dreams. Tell Him your failures. Ask Him what He would do.

God wants a personal relationship with us. Moses, one of the great leaders of the Old Testament had it. Do you?
