May 9, 2007 - ...Thy Kingdom Come ...

May 9, 2007

Luk 11:2 KJV
(2) ... Thy kingdom come. ...

God's kingdom is what Jesus prayed here that would come. Here on earth. How is that possible?

How can something so holy come to this earth? In the end of time there will be a new heaven and a new earth, then it could come to a pure earth, but as long as the earth has sinful people it could not be established.

Maybe Jesus was referring to the end time coming quickly. Lets get the earth changed and get it done. We are still here 2000 years later. I guess we can throw out that idea.

In another part of the Bible, Jesus states that the 'kingdom of God is not meat or drink, but righteousness, peace and joy'. In other words, the kingdom of God is in us. We need to have these qualities and then the kingdom of God will be here on earth. When we have those qualities, others will see it and want to be members of this kingdom as well.

Strive in your life to bring it into righteousness, peace and joy.
