Sin Behind the Wall

Do you get in to a fight with a lot of different people? How about your spouse or other members of your family? Do you get to the point that you want to win every time when you do? It is not natural to loose or win in every disagreement. The best that can happen is when both sides win.

What I am choosing to talk about today is those who seem to want to be in a fight all the time. The writer of Proverbs has words for you my friend:

Pro 17:19 GW
(19) Whoever loves sin loves a quarrel. Whoever builds his city gate high invites destruction.

If you are constantly bickering with those around you, it might be time to check your sin life. Do you have a secret sin that you carry with you that you let out when no one else is around? God knows about it. If you love that sin, that might be the source of your problems with others.

If that is the case, it is time for you to seek help. Get into a group of people that you can trust and open up where the problem is. Only by letting it go will you be free of it. Keeping it a secret never helped. By keeping it secret you are making the gates so high that people will not be able to get in to help you. You will keep that sin a secret, and show it love in stead of the love that you should show others.
