May 25, 2007 - Meditate the Word

May 25, 2007

Psa 1:2 KJV
(2) But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Yesterday we looked at sin as a progression. Today we look at spirituality as a progressions as well. It will take you time to do so, but just as one does not stumble into sin, one does not stumble in to faith either.

Our main thing is to meditate on the law of the LORD. This is just another way to say read the Word every day. Find out what it says. You do not need to be a Greek or Hebrew scholar to understand it. Get a couple of different translations and go to it. There are programs like E-Sword (http://www.e-sword.com) that are free and will let you read many different translations and come with Strong's concordance and commentaries built in. Want to listen instead go to Daily Audio Bible (http://www.dailyaudiobible.com/wordpress/) where you can download a rotating translation that you can listen to each day on your portable mp3 player.

Get yourself into the word. There are so many ways that you can do it these days, no one should have an excuse.
