Who do you blame?
June 28, 2008
1 Kings 21:20 GNB
(20) When Ahab saw Elijah, he said, "Have you caught up with me, my enemy?" "Yes, I have," Elijah answered. "You have devoted yourself completely to doing what is wrong in theLORD's sight.
It is so easy to blame our enemies when we think that evil is being done to us. But in reality, it is we who are to blame. As we move away from God, we move closer to problems. Ahab did this through his whole life. When Elijah tries to confront him, Ahab blames Elijah. Who he needs to blame is himself.
What about you?
