Where does power come from

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 ESV
(17) Beware lest you say in your heart, 'My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.'
(18) You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Really not much to say about today's verse. How often do we think that we were the ones that did it all. When we do that we put a false god up in front of ourselves. That is the god of self.

You could not do anything if you had bad health so do not think that you have done anything. God gives it all to you. That does not mean you do not take pride in your work, but in the end, remember who is the one that gave you the ability to do it in the first place.
