Me and John the Baptist

The life of Jesus. Read Today: John's testimony about Christ; John 1:19-28

Wouldn't it be great to be John the Baptist. I mean he told people about Jesus. He was the one that got the people ready.

John 1:23 CEV
(23) John answered in the words of the prophet Isaiah, "I am only someone shouting in the desert, 'Get the road ready for the Lord!' "

Yet he was humble. All he was, according to him, was someone crying out to prepare for the way of the Lord. But isn't that what you and I are to do as believers? Are we supposed to do as John did and tell others that Jesus is coming and to prepare for Him? The only difference is John preached the first coming and we preach the second. Go, tell others about Jesus and how he will be coming soon.Be a John the Baptist.
