Fear v. peace

Jer 30:5 KJV
(5) For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.


So often, we hear of people dumbing down the message of Christ. They seem to think that people will come to the Lord if we put on a show. We cannot make the people upset with God, they will not want to get to know Him better. Let's focus on the love of God, not the sin of man. I think you get the message.

That is not what the Bible says though. To the sinner, God is someone that you pretty well have to turn to as something that you should fear. I mean, after all, aren't you going to Hell if you do not ask Him to be your savior. God is not a God of peace, but you will receive peace when you know Him.

Lets not let people go to Hell in what we do not tell them. Lets help them go to heaven
