Humility

(4) By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.


There is an interesting thing in this verse. Humility in a person will generally produce a fear of the Lord. And if one has a fear of the Lord, they will generally be humble.

So one causes the other. But what do they both produce. They produce, riches, the things we need to survive in life. They provide honor, the good feeling that we get when someone tells us how good we have done. And we get life (some versions say long life).

God wants to reward us. Do we want to receive it?
