For such a time as this...

Are you where God wants you to be? That could be a hard question to answer. It is hard to know exactly where you are to be because God does not always speak to us clearly. As I said in an earlier devotion, God sometimes moves us around like pieces on a cosmic chess board. He sometimes reveals things as they need to be revealed.
The story of Esther shows this. It also shows that we need to be aware of when those chances come into our live so that we can be doing what we need to do.
If you do not know the story, Esther became queen when she found favor with the King, but only after she hid the fact that she was a Jew. The Kings assistant did not like the Jews because of Mordecai, Esther's uncle who raised her when she was an orphan, would not show him honor by bowing to him. Haman, the assistant, got the king to agree to kill all the Jew. Mordecai pleaded with Esther to intercede, but she was afraid of rocking the boat. The he said these words to her:
Est 4:14 CEV
(14) If you don't speak up now, we will somehow get help, but you and your family will be killed. It could be that you were made queen for a time like this!"
Now that is an interesting concept. God may have you right where you are needed to do what needs to be. Esther was, and she saved the Jewish people.
Look around at where you are at today. Are you where you are at for such a time as this?
