(4) ... but deliver us from evil.

Unlike temptations that Jesus just talked about that can come from God Himself, evil can only come from one place. Satan is the one responsible. Jesus is teaching us that God keep us from evil.

There is only one way that God can keep us from evil, if we ourselves keep ourselves dwelling in His word and fellowshipping with others. How does that fit in with God delivering us from it? There are times when God will put a church in your path and say go there. Or He may put people in your life and say you need to listen to them. If you do not listen to God, these people who come along will be just that people. You will not see them as God's way of keeping you from doing wrong.
