Does anyone like me?

February 2, 2008

When some one does not like you it is hard to see that many other people do like you. It was a problem that Moses had during the Exodus plagues.

Exodus 11:2-3 ASV
(2) Speak now in the ears of the people, and let them ask every man of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.
(3) And Jehovah gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

You see, Moses was dealing with Pharaoh for the most part. Pharaoh hated him. So by extension, Moses thought that all of Egypt did. But really, Pharaoh's men and the people of Egypt had a great respect for him.

The next time that you think that everyone is against you (or at least everyone at work/school/etc.), know that they are not. There is a whole body of people out there that like you and are hoping for you to succeed.
