Why was man created?

John 4:23 ESV
23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.


God wants worship. We are His creation, his children. Worship has with it different connotations if you are not careful. Worship can mean to put up on a pedestal so that it is above all. Worship can mean a deep love also. In that definition we find what God wants. We are not to put Him up out of our reach and strive for Him. We are to love Him like a dog would lick his masters hand because of the love that he has for the master. Or we are to love Him, like a child loves her father.

Worship God today.
