June 9, 2007 - Plans
Have you ever made plans? We all do. The thing is that we should never plan something and assume that because we know God, it will come to pass. A King of Israel had that problem one time.
2Ch 18:26-27 KJV
(26) And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.
(27) And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people.
In this case Israel's king was going to war with the King of Judah against a enemy of them both. Both of them knew God though Judah would have had a better history with that. The prophet of God was brought to them along with many false prophets. When Micaiah gave God's word, they would not listen and the King of Israel said the words shown above. Though I have not put the rest of the story here I am sure that you can guess it. The King of Israel never returned, he was killed in battle, even though he disguised himself and made the King of Judah the bigger target.
The moral? Better make sure that the plans that you have are the ones that God wants you to do.
